Homemade Hot Chocolate

Hot Chocolate is great but when you can make it Homemade it is even better, So I would like to share my family's favorite recipe for homemade hot chocolate.

Ingredients

1/3 cup water
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup and 2-3 T sugar
5 cups whole milk

In large saucepan stir together water, cocoa and sugar. Bring to a boil.
Stir in milk ,leaving about 1 1/2 cups left, and heat until small bubbles begin to form around edges.

Remove from heat and stir in remaining milk.
Makes 5 servings

This is a recipe that I found on Heavenly Homemakers but added a few changes.

This is so yummy! It is almost good enough to give up coffee for-ah, but not quite. Thanks for sharing the Heavenly Homemakers site. I love her blog!

Looks good Sarah! It's 2 to 3 Tablespoons of sugar not 23 right? We like making our own hot cocoa too, I think it is in the Little Explorers cookbook as James and Ethan's Special Cocoa or something like that.
